What is one habit of yours that helps you be productive?
I think less about myself and what I’m doing and more about the purpose behind it.
What is your morning routine and how does it help you get the most out of your day?
I get up and think, “Okay, how am I going to perpetuate positive thinking and behavior in the world today?”
In the last few years, what lifestyle, habit or behavior change has had the biggest positive impact on your life?
The change from fretting about what could go wrong to focusing on what I can do to ensure my current endeavors achieve their potential.
When you feel unfocused, what do you do?
Embrace it. Being unfocused is key to being creative. You need to give yourself down time, meditation time and seemingly wasted time. For in the end, it is these roads that will lead you most effectively to where you want to go.
What is one piece of software or a web service that you get immense value out of? How do you use it?
YouTube. You can learn how to excel at literally anything on it.
What is the one book you recommend most often and why?
Shantaram. Because I like it.
What advice would you give a smart and ambitious recent college graduate? What advice should they ignore?
Figure out what your purpose is and have everything else be in service of that. By defining and living a purpose, it will inform everything else and you’ll find that the right opportunities and people will be attracted to you rather than you having to chase them.
