Jamie Sathers-Day, I’m the broker of Sathers, JS Realty, LLC. I help buyers & sellers buy, sell or rent a variety of properties from land, cabins, homes, & multi-family properties in the Duluth & surrounding areas.
What is one habit of yours that helps you be productive?
Set a work schedule everyday & stick to it. If you don’t have a plan each day, then you day gets away from you in a hurry!!
What is your morning routine and how does it help you get the most out of your day?
While drinking coffee, I read something motivational that isn’t work related.
Plan for exercise in everyday….if you aren’t healthy, you are going to struggle to be successful.
Stick with your plan for that day! Writing down a goal for each day is helpful.
In the last few years, what lifestyle, habit or behavior change has had the biggest positive impact on your life?
Reminding myself that I need to be healthy! Exercise is an appointment with myself…..don’t be late!
I’m trying to be a better reader so I’ve made it a point to read everyday. I’ve also started listen to motivational pod casts.
When you feel unfocused, what do you do?
Make a plan to get certain things done by a specific time.
What is one piece of software or a web service that you get immense value out of? How do you use it?
The Multiple Listing Service (MLS) is the sharing of properties with other realtors & we offer compensation to each other to help get properties sold.
We also have a program called List Hub that disperses our properties for sale to other websites like realtor.com, zillow.com, etc.
What is the one book you recommend most often and why?
5 Second Rule by Mel Robbins. It’s a plan that helps get things done that you don’t want to do….count from 5 backwards & then get it done.
What advice would you give a smart and ambitious recent college graduate? What advice should they ignore?
Know that success takes time & effort…..you have to work hard to get to the top.
Connect with people…..every person could be a job so make a great first impression.
What is your favorite quote, one you aim to live by?
Treat people the way you want to be treated because what comes around, goes around!!
